I’ve been busy last week, getting some new programming on MissionTV (www.missiontv.com), and wrapping up loose ends at the office, and working on getting all the details of my trip figured out. I’m just amazed at how God pulled this trip together in less than 2 weeks! I marvel at the way God works. Once He opened the way to get the plane ticket, then I knew that He wanted me to go, but there were still other things that He needed to take care of. I still needed some money for expenses while I was there. In a previous post I stated that I needed probably between $350 and $400 to cover expenses while I was there. After that I was made aware of some other expenses that I didn’t know about, and I realized that I might need $500 instead… But God knew that and He provided adequately through many of you… and I want to extend a personal ‘Thank you’ to each of you who donated to make this trip possible.
I know that God will use this trip in a wonderful way. I just ask that you would pray for me as I travel, and as I’m there, that God would help me to get all the shots that I need to get, and not miss any. I’m also seeing quite a challenge, in that putting together a video showing the need of the deaf is no small task. So I would ask that you pray that God will help me to create the video / videos that He wants out of this trip.
Also pleas pray for each of the JFA Bible workers there in India, that God will bless their efforts to reach people for Him. They haven’t had the funds that they should and so they’ve been working with very little, and yet they’re effectiveness is amazing. I want to show some of that through video.

Hi again,
Just a short note to let you all know that we were able to change my flights from 2 weeks to 4 weeks. This is a big blessing because now I’ll have three weeks to travel with Israel and see the Bible workers, get their work on film. I feel much better about spending the money and staying for a month than I do staying for only a few short days.
Please pray that God will work out his will regarding this domestic flight, that He will help me to be able to get the flight with Pastor Jeff and the group. I’m corresponding with with someone in India to get them… and the communication is kind of tough, so just pray that God will work out his will.
Also I’ve just been made aware that the bus fare to and from the airport for is quite expensive, it’s a cost that I wasn’t aware of before. I’ve been told it’s about $80, and I’m not sure whether that’s both ways or just one…
But God has it all under control and especially now that I’m committed I just have to trust in Him…

Hi all,
I’ve been praying about this trip to India, and praying that the Lord would provide the way if He wanted me to go. With the dates for the trip creeping closer, and only $200 in my account I began wondering if God wanted me to go after all. I was praying about it, praying that God would make His will known. I have a very hard time asking for money, and you may have seen that in my previous posts. However God impressed me that I should call my grandmother and tell her about my plans, which I did this week. She said that she would see what she could do, and later decided she could cover the whole ticket for $1400! So now I’ve found and booked tickets. I felt bad spending so much money and then just staying there for 9 days, so I decided that I could stay a little longer, and then do some other video work with some of the JFA Bible workers in Chennai or something… So I booked the ticket for two weeks. Then Jon Wood who is actually in Asia right now, heard about it and asked if I could stay two more weeks, and do some video and photography in several different parts of India, not just Chennai. So now I’m trying to extend the tickets, so it’s not set for sure yet. Still praying whether it’s worth the money to change the dates, or whether God only wants me there for two weeks. ( Or maybe it’s that I showed my lack of faith when I didn’t book to stay longer…)
I’m still praying though because there are some expenses during the time I’m in India that aren’t covered yet. During the time that I’m with Pastor Jeff the a rough estimate of the expenses for room are $25 per night and $4 per meal. So for the 9 days that comes to about $260 for room and board. Also there’s a local plane flight where we’ll go to a different part of the country for Sabbath, totaling about $250 round trip. Then of course there’ll be some expenses for public transportation as well. And Jon said that they can cover expenses for the time that I’ll spend with the JFA Bible workers. So I have $200 already and assuming I don’t use that for changing my tickets or anything, then I’ll need an additional $350-$400 or so.
I know that God has a way in mind, since he’s brought me this far. No doubt you’ve been wondering what’s happening with my trip to India. Since the trip was postponed until March I sent off to get the visa about 10 days ago, praying that God would close the door in my face if He didn’t want me to go. There’s so much work here at GMI, with MissionTV and all, sometimes I have a hard time thinking of leaving even if it’s only for 2 weeks or a month. I’ve been praying that God would show me His will. Last Thursday, I received my visa back. The Lord still seems to be opening the doors. But I’m still praying because I don’t have the funds to go yet… I know that a few of you have contributed as God impressed you, and thank you.
I’ve been thinking also that I may not be able to go to Thailand, because of the work that there is here it might be best for me to just return to the US as soon as possible. Since I know approximate dates, I’ve been able to find tickets to just India and back, for about $1400, and including Thailand for about $1800. I can borrow a camera that they have at the deaf church to shoot with although it won’t be as good…
I don’t want this to be a plea for funds, but rather a plea for prayer, that God will work out His will. Only give if God impresses you to. Please pray with me this week as I seek God’s will.
