I meant to post an update here a couple months ago… Just been to busy to do it. God has been good.

I’ve decided to get some college education to better prepare me for future mission work. I keep finding myself in management, so I’ll be taking an associate in Business Management from Ouachita Hills College in Arkansas. I’ve realized that if I’m ever going to get a college education that now is probably the best time to do it.

God has already opened so many doors just to make it possible. I was able to get a plan ticket back to USA from Kenya without any upsell in the middle of summer! The flight was only available on my birthday! It’s taken me 27 years to fly on my birthday. God has also opened many other doors, providing the initial finances necessary for the first semester.

I’ve left 2CBN in the capable hands of our local team there. They understand our vision and mission, and they are committed to seeing it move forward despite our financial constraints. They are continuing production, editing, and web streaming even after I’ve left. Please continue to pray that God will provide the funds to put us back on air. If God places 2CBN on your heart you can contribute financially here. The budget for 2CBN barely squeaks by every month, so any donations are much appreciated!

Please keep me in prayer as I make the shift to college life. I’ve never been to college before, so many things are brand new to me. I know that with God’s help it will be a success, and I will be better prepared for His service wherever He calls. If you would like to contribute to my college expenses, tuition or general expenses, please contact me through the contact page.

It’s again time to exercise my faith muscles more… I’ve been requested back in Kenya. Traveling is always a faith experience. It’s always step by step, seeing God open the way. It doesn’t open further than necessary. God always opens the doors at the last possible moment to increase our faith.

If we don’t move forward because there’s financial obstacles in the way, then we may never move forward. The obstacles only get bigger! If we don’t move then they actually tend to increase! When God says go it’s time to go, not a moment later. A moment later may be too late.

I just want to take the chance to say thank you to all of you who have supported me in my travels over the last few years with your prayers and finances. If you haven’t and you’d like to know how, check out the Support page.

Let’s remember that God always wants to lead up upward and yet upward in the way to heaven. If you remember Sister White’s dream, you’ll remember those thin green cords that they found. As they made their way up the narrow path, they became more and more dependent on those cords to keep from falling over the precipice. When they reached the end of the path, they had to put their entire weight on those cords which had grown large, and swing across the valley.

Let’s make sure our faith is firmly attached to God! Let’s take every opportunity now to help our faith in Him grow! When we reach the end of the path and this world is at it’s end, let’s make sure that our faith has grown large enough to support our leap across the valley of this world into eternity!

We’re streaming. Missionaries have come here to Hayden Lake, ID from many places. Missionaries with passion, with burden for missions, with miraculous experiences. They are eager to share. It’s a mission launching pad. More people should be here, yet there’s an option for those who can’t. The programs are broadcasting live stream over the internet. Anywhere in the world that has decent internet can access the stream. A schedule with the meeting times is on the FaithCamp website.

If you can, please join us virtually!

As some of you might have noticed, my blog has a new look! And a new address! www.lifeinmission.com If you’ve linked to my site, please update your link. (The old links all still work for now, but it’s best to update them.) If you haven’t linked yet, feel free to!

Up till now I’ve mostly used my blog pretty much just for my experiences in the mission field. I still plan to continue doing this, but I want to expand a little. You might find me blogging now about common issues that missionaries face, cross cultural outreach, about other missionaries, or about certain projects and their needs. I may also blog about books that I’ve been reading. (Mission books of course!)  I want to enlarge my sphere of blogging a bit to be a little more inclusive of other topics involving missions.

The main topic of my blog will continue to be about missions. I want the focus in every post to either involve or cover missions in some way, shape, or form.

I’m also trying to make it more interactive, you can now use your Facebook or Google account to sign in and make a comment, or manage your email subscriptions. Currently comments are withheld for approval as I’ve had trouble with spam comments in the past, but I love hearing from you! I’ll be trying to make the comments process more seamless.  If you haven’t subscribed for email updates you can do so by entering your email in the “Get email updates” section on the right sidebar, or sign in with Google or Facebook. (Signing in with Google or Facebook is just for authentication, the only information it typically uses is information that is already available for your contacts to see, and your email address. If you have a concern about this you can drop me a message.)

One of the things that makes up a good portion of our content for our other TV networks in South America, Europe, and Asia is nature videos and sacred heavenly music. However when we tried to put nature scenes with just vocal music here in Kenya for 2CBN it just didn’t seem to fit together so well. It just kind of made you wonder who was singing. After spending some weeks praying and thinking about it I decided to try something different. We had recorded video for this particular singing group called Cherubim and so I thought I would try mixing the video of them singing with nature instead of putting totally nature. I think it actually turned out quite well. Check it out for yourself.
